Oh, so this is how you land a helicopter
Once again courtesy of Rogers, we have an amazing video to share with you! Check out the skill/lunacy (delete one) of this Danish crew as they land their helicopter on the deck of a ship that is doing the "Funky Chicken" (a popular and vigorous dance of the 1970s, or so I'm told). Also note that at the opening of the video, you can distinctly see terra firma in the background. This means these guys did this voluntarily! By the way, there's no sound to this video, probably because there was nothing but screaming on the original sound track.
Breathtaking Views

I've heard of 3D...
Apparently there were a couple of "Ds" left lying about unused, so now someone (or many someones) has come up with 4D! At first, I thought the video was simply the product of fancy editing. You decide!
Any Landing You Can Walk Away From...
As we are all too painfully aware, landings can all too often end in tears. The tears are notably more copious when your "less than perfect" landing converts your $35 million wonder of aviation technology into a lit Sterno can. I hate it when that happens. Note the perfect functioning of the ejection seat when the pilot decides he's had enough fun watching the fire spread around the airframe as he slides down the runway.
MiG-
Many of us have seen remarkable 3D displays by prop planes and helicopters. Perhaps
we are a little jaded. In this video, Sebastiano Silvestri demonstrates his amazing
skills as an aviator with a stunning display featuring his turbine powered MiG-

The Russians Are Coming (well, they were here)!
With his keen observation skills and his wizardry with a camera, Phil has brought us some amazing pictures of a MiG visiting a local airport. Check out his superb photos in the gallery by clicking here.

The video below features a guy we need in our club! He wouldn't hesitate to brave the woods to recover a downed aircraft!
Déjà Vu All Over Again
Just when I thought that the video with the plane losing one wing in flight and safely landing was unique, another one turns up!
Just What Is Half Of A Monoplane?
Some years ago, a video was released of a full scale acro plane landing after the loss of one wing. It was a nice piece of computer graphics manipulation. But what about this!
Pest Control (with style)!
Bryan, a helicopter pilot who visited our field on Sunday, September 19th, has a novel use for his helicopter. He uses it to kill ground hornets. Check out his video! The crunching sounds are hornets finding the rotor blades!
Dynamic Soaring Speed Record Set At 445 mph!
John Buxton set the world speed record for a glider at 445 mph on May 21, 2010. It's pretty obvious to us that this whole thing reeks of voodoo or black magic. See more at rcspeeds.com. By the way, the video below is of some lame glider only doing 392 mph!
